The Stone Wave Cooker helps home chefs cook delicious, gourmet food in your microwave. Using an innovative chimney system that lets steam escape while heat circulates within, this amazing product can cook a meal–or several meals, thanks to the convenient personal size–in mere minutes. Watching your weight? No problem. This handy, ingenious piece of cookware has a nonstick surface, so there’s no need for butter, fat or oils.

My family loves omelets. Every Sunday morning is our omelet day, but as my kids have gotten older, they have also gotten pickier. Omelet morning was becoming more stressful than fun, as cooking omelets to order for a family of five was time-consuming, messy and unfulfilling. We were about to give up on our family tradition, when we saw a commercial for the Stove Wave Cooker.

My Experience With the Stone Wave Cooker

stone-wave-cookerOur initial plan was to order just one and test it out, but the website was offering a great promotional deal where we got a second one for free, plus the cost of shipping and handling, so that made it a no-brainer. Neither my husband nor I are impulse buyers, and this product just looked too good to be true. It seemed unlikely that one small piece of ceramic stoneware could cook an omelet in a minute–especially since that same omelet was taking me at least five times as long, and turned out wrong half the time anyway. I kept picturing a soggy, eggy mess, and burned little fingers from the hot handle.

Little did I know that the Stone Wave Cooker was exactly what we needed to continue our Sunday omelet fun. This kitchen powerhouse delivered on all of its promises from the very first time we used it. I just cracked in the eggs and microwaved the vessel for one minute. The results were perfect–a light, fluffy omelet that slid right onto the plate.

Of course, my kids each ended up wanting one of their own, so we ordered two more. The coolest part is that they all fit inside the microwave at the same time, so no one has to wait. We can all eat together! Even better, but we can eat our meals directly out of the Stone Waver Cooker, which means we don’t have to use more plates.

Advertising for this product claims, “You can create custom meals for each person in the family.” Sure I could, but why would I when they can now make custom meals for themselves? The Stone Wave Cooker makes it that easy.

I’ll admit that the first few times I used this product, I was worried about it overheating. I have burned myself in the past while handling pyrex and other cookware, but this one has a comfort touch handle so it stays cool. You can safely grab hold of the handle without fear of getting burned. I am now even comfortable with my five-year-old using it.

My husband has a history of high cholesterol from both of his parents, so we are trying to make healthy choices and watch our weight as a family. While his doctor says eggs are fine, he suggested that we cut back on trans fats, like in butter. I couldn’t believe how effectively this container made delicious omelets without any butter at all. We love our butter, but we honestly couldn’t even tell it was missing.

As anyone who has ever cooked an omelet before knows, the clean up can be s terrible mess. Eggs are sticky, and even with my nonstick pan, I’d still have to leave it soaking in the sink to get rid of the residue. While the Stone Wave Cooker can go in the dishwasher, we don’t even bother because it cleans up so perfectly with us a little soap and warm water.

The Stone Wave Cooker is worth its value just for cooking eggs alone, as far as I’m concerned, but it has tons of other great uses, as well. My daughter had a few friends sleep over the other night, and we used these to make individual chocolate soufflés from a recipe in the free Five Minute Meals recipe book. They were delicious, and the girls felt like they were having a real gourmet treat. I can’t wait to try the other recipes–next up is my absolutely favorite meal: onion soup.

This product has completely changed the way my family eats breakfast, and enhanced my ability to enjoy that quality time we spend together, since I’m no longer cooking and cleaning the whole time.

My Overall Review

stone-wave-microwave-cookerPros:

  • A healthier way of cooking, thanks to the non-stick surface that eliminates the need for oils and fats
  • Super-fast–all of the meals in the recipe guide take under five minutes
  • Great for customizing meals for each individual member of the family
  • Mess-free cleanup

Cons:

  • Your oven may become wasted space as you rely increasingly on the Stove Wave Cooker
  • Delivery can take a long time because of the huge demand, and because it can’t be bought in stores.
